Trimount Developments celebrated the start of their latest multi-family project in Estevan, with a ribbon cutting ceremony August 15 for the Northpoint condominiums and the Fairview Villas duplexes.
Representatives from Trimount and its selling agency, Century 21 Border Real Estate Service, were joined at the ceremony by people who are interested in purchasing one of the condominiums or the duplexes. Trimount partner Mike Reinheller said there has been considerable interest in both the condos and the duplexes.
Terry Germain from Century 21 said that they already have six of 39 condominiums in Northpoint spoken for, and four of the 16 bungalow-style duplexes are sold.
“The first two duplexes will start construction in the next two weeks, and we're expecting them to be complete around February or March 1,” said Reinheller. “For the condos, we're going to break ground along the highway in mid-September, and we're looking at late April or early May (for completion).”
Trimount was the developer for the three 39-unit Petterson Point condominiums in northeast Estevan that were constructed and sold in phases from 2011 to 2013.
Reinheller said that Trimount has been very busy since the ground-breaking for the first Petterson Point condominium building two years ago.
The Northpoint condos, the Fairview Villas and houses that are currently under construction in Dominion Heights are part of the first phase of Trimount's work in that subdivision. They plan to develop 86 acres of land in north-central Estevan over the next three to five years.
Reinheller said it would accommodate over 700 homes, including single-family houses and multi-family buildings, once Dominion Heights is finished.
“We want to see Estevan grow, and the quickest way to do that is our goal,” said Reinheller.
