Weekend police report

*Estevan Police Service members received a report March 10 of a number of young adults who were intoxicated in a vehicle at a restaurant in the downtown area of Estevan. The vehicle the young adults were in was located, and a 16-year-old Estevan female was charged with possession of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

*A report was received of a suspicious male in the south central area of Estevan. Patrols of the area were unsuccessful in locating the male.

*Police received a report of a fight at a lounge in the northcentral area of Estevan on March 9. Upon further investigation, it was learned that a female was struck while two males were involved in a fight. One of the males left the scene prior to police arrival. The other involved parties provided limited information about what had taken place. None of the parties went to the police station to provide further details on the matter.

*A 57-year-old male from Winnipeg was arrested from a lounge in the east central area of Estevan after being involved in a dispute with staff. The dispute led to the male assaulting one of the staff. The male was lodged in cells and was released once sober.

*A 29-year-old Estevan male was issued a 24-hour driver's licence suspension after he was located operating a vehicle while over .04. The male was served court documents and released for a court date in the future.

*Police received a report of a westbound car on Fourth Street that was losing control and going off the road. Police attended and located a 26-year-old Estevan male operating the offending vehicle. The vehicle had gone over the boulevard and struck the fence of a residence on the north side of Fourth Street. The male was arrested and transported to the police station, where analysis of his breath revealed he was impaired by alcohol and operating a vehicle while over .08. The male was also charged with dangerous driving under the Criminal Code. The male was lodged in cells and released the following day after an appearance in front of a Justice of the Peace. There were no injuries sustained during this accident.

*After a vehicle stop, a 19-year-old Estevan male was found to be in possession of marihuana on March 8. The male was transported to the police station, where after being charged and served with documents for a future court date, he was released.

*A 27-year-old Moose Jaw male was located operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and while over .08. The male was released after being served with documents for a court date in the future.

*A 20-year-old Estevan male was located operating a vehicle while being over .08. The male was released after being served with documents for a court date in the future.
