Estevan Police Service update

Estevan Police Service members were dispatched to a public venue in the north central area of Estevan in response to an intoxicated male. A 19-year-old Estevan male was located in a highly intoxicated state. The male was arrested and lodged in cells, to be released once sober.

Members attended to a residence in the northwest area of Estevan in response to a noise complaint. After being warned once and continuing to cause a loud noise, a 20-year-old Estevan female was changed under the bylaw for causing a noise that disturbs others.

A 39-year-old Prince Albert male was located operating a motor vehicle while impaired. The male was arrested, and after refusing to provide a suitable sample of breath for analysis, was lodged in cells to be released once sober.

A 26-year-old Estevan male was lodged in cells for being intoxicated in a public place. The male was released once sober.

Police were called to a break-and-enter in the north part of Estevan on Tuesday night. Police arrived on scene, and shortly after, found and arrested the male. He was charged accordingly. The male was also intoxicated and was lodged in cells until sober.

Officers responded to a northeast Estevan department store parking lot on the report of an assault. A 23-year-old female was arrested and charged as a result, and made her first court appearance in Estevan Provincial Court on February 28.

Police were called to a residence in northeast Estevan Monday on the report of a domestic dispute. Investigation into the matter resulted in a 25-year-old male being arrested for mischief as a result of the window of a vehicle being broken. He made his first court appearance in Estevan on March 1.

Police received a report of vandalism to a vehicle in the parking lot of a north Estevan school. Minimal damage was done. The matter remains under investigation.

Members initiated a number of traffic stops which resulted in charges under the Traffic Safety Act, which included operating an unregistered vehicle, disobeying a red light and more. The public is reminded to anticipate and obey all traffic signals.
