All-Stars shine in Houston

The NBA held its annual All-Star Weekend, which included the skills competition. Toronto Raptors’ Terrence Ross won the all-Star dunk competition. Some of the other competition winners were: the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Kyrie Irving won the three-point contest, the Portland Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard won the skills contest, and the winners of the shooting stars contest were the Miami Heat’s Chris Bosh. Women's NBA star Swin Cash, and NBA alumni Dominique Wilkins with a time of one minute and 29 seconds. In the game, the Western All-Stars beat the Eastern All-Stars 143-138.
In NCAA Baseball, the No.13 Florida Gators took two of three games from the Duke Blue Devils. The Gators are in second place in the South Eastern Conference's East Division.
In NCAA Basketball, the No. 7 Florida Gators beat the Auburn Tigers 83-53 in a one-sided game. The Gators are in first place in the South Eastern Conference.
In the National Lacrosse League, the Calgary Roughnecks lost to the Toronto Rock 17-12. The Roughnecks’ record is 5-3 and they are in first place in the West Division.
In the WHL, the Regina Pats lost to the Calgary Hitmen 5-2 in a one-sided game. The Pats also lost to the Swift Current Broncos 2-1.
In the OHL, the Windsor Spitfires lost to the Saginaw Spirit 7-4. The Spitfires also lost 2-1 to the Sarnia Sting in a close game. Windsor is in ninth place in the Western Conference.
