The Estevan Baxter Midget A Cougars wrapped up their regular season by twice defeating the Regina Avalanche in Estevan during the Family Day long weekend, but losing to the league-leading Fort Qu'Appell Flyers.
Paige Collopy scored twice in the Cougars' 4-1 win over the Avalanche on February 16. Brooklyn Dukart scored the game-winning goal with 56 seconds to play in the first period, and Alaura Gress added a goal in the third period.
Veronique Poirier was in goal for the victory.
Brooklyn and Hailey Dukart each had two goals and an assist in the Cougars' 5-0 win on February 17. Brooklyn Dukart scored twice in the first six minutes of the game to give Estevan a 2-0 lead, and then Hailey Dukart scored late in the first and early in the second to double the margin to 4-0.
Cheyenne Grant scored late in the second to finish off the scoring.
Brianna Cote picked up the shutout victory.
Estevan lost 8-1 to the league-leading Flyers in Estevan's final game of the regular season. (Box score was not available).
The Cougars finished the regular season with a record of 13-7-4, which left them fifth in the South Saskatchewan Female Hockey League (SSFHL). They'll play the Avalanche or the Regina Panthers in the quarter-finals.

The Estevan Dayman Trucking Bantam A Bulldogs closed out their regular season with a convincing 5-1 victory over the Weyburn Athletics on February 12.
Jenna Grube led the Bulldogs' attack with three goals and an assist; she registered a point on each of the Chargers' last four goals. Julia Sibley and Shania Taylor also scored.
Marcedes Singleton was in goal for the victory.
The Bulldogs' finished third in the SSFHL's Bantam A division during the regular season. They'll play the last place team, the Weyburn Angels, in the first round of the playoffs.
