The Estevan Sherritt Coal Peewee AA Bruins went 1-3 at a recent tournament in Brandon, Manitoba.
Estevan opened the tournament with a 9-3 loss against the host Brandon Wheat Kings. Hayden Cutler, Dylan Hull and Cole Fonstad were the goal scorers for Estevan.
The Bruins responded with their lone victory of the tournament, a 5-0 shutout of the Lumsden Lions. Carson Benning led the attack with a pair of goals. Cutler, Fonstad and J.D. Gervais also scored.
Their third game was a 5-3 loss against the Northwest Ontario All-Stars. Fonstad, Mason Strutt and Kersey Reich scored in the loss.
Estevan's final game saw them lose 6-3 against the Portage Terriers. Benning scored twice for the second time in the tournament. Fonstad had the other goal.
Cody Levesque and Morgan Wanner shared the goaltending duties in the tournament. Wanner had the shutout against Lumsden-Bethune, and Levesque was in goal against Northwest Ontario. Levesque played the first and the third periods versus Brandon, while Wanner played the second period in that game. They each played half the game against Portage.
Estevan's next action will be a home-and-home in league play against Weyburn. Estevan will visit Weyburn on February 16, and host their rivals on February 17 at Spectra Place. The game will start at 11:30 a.m.

The Estevan Gem Well Atom AA Bruins lost a pair of games against the league-leading Yorkton Terriers. Yorkton won the first game 8-4 on February 9, and 9-3 on February 10.

Estevan will close out the regular season with a home-and-home against the Weyburn Wings. Estevan will host the Wings on February 16 at Spectra Place at noon. The return match will be the following afternoon in Weyburn.
