Bantam A Bruins win twice
The Estevan Century 21 Bantam A Bruins won a pair of road games, as they defeated the Regina Panthers 6-4 on January 25, and then went into Odessa and beat the Quad Town Eagles 5-2 on the 26th.
Preston Brodziak scored twice and added an assist for Estevan in the win over the Panthers. Sage Dayman, Kyle Hertes, Wyatt Haux and Hunter Piche had Estevan's other goals.
Estevan led 6-1 midway through the second period. The Panthers scored the game's final three goals to make the score respectable.
Zack Miller was in goal for the win.
Brodziak had two goals and an assist for the second straight game, and Josh Giblett also scored twice, in Estevan's win against Quad Town. Estevan jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first period on goals by Giblett, Brodziak and Hertes. After a scoreless second period, the two teams traded goals in the third, with Brodziak and Giblett each notching their second goals of the contest.
Ethan Veroba was the winning goaltender.
The Bruins were also slated to play Weyburn January 30 in Game 1 of a two-game, total-goal provincial series. (Results were not available at press time).
Estevan's record is 13-4-2. Their next game in league play is February 2 at 5:15 p.m. against the Penguins at the Lignite Miners Centre.

The Estevan Blue Rock Junior Midget Bruins dropped a pair of league games, losing 6-1 to the Regina Capitals on January 26 and 2-0 to the Regina Flames the following night. Both games were played on home ice.
Monty Daku opened the scoring for Estevan against the Capitals, but Regina would score the game's final six goals.
All of the scoring in the game between Estevan and Regina came in the first period.
Landon Audet was in goal for Estevan against the Capitals. Brett Friess started against the Flames, but Audet also played briefly.
The Junior Midgets' record is 5-9-5. They will host the Regina Wild on February 2 at 2:30 p.m. at the Civic Auditorium.
