Estevan Police Service members responded to a number of calls on Wednesday and Thursday night.
Officers were called to a local business Wednesday night on a report of a disturbance. Police attended and located a 50-year-old Estevan male. The male was arrested and was lodged in cells until sober. He will appear in Estevan Provincial Court later in March for charges under the Alcohol and Gaming regulations.
Police were alerted to another business on a report of a possible drunk driver. Police checked the area and located 32-year-old Melville male. He was lodged in cells until sober. The male was not driving at the time his arrest.
Police then attended to a domestic disturbance at a residence, after a frantic 911 call. Officers attended and learned that a weapon was shown and threats were made to another residence of the home. Police arrested a 50-year-old B.C. male for assault. The matter remains under investigation and charges are pending.
Police attended a local establishment Thursday night on a report of a patron causing problems. Members arrived and found two males fighting. Police arrested the males and one was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Both males were lodged in cells until sober, and charged under the fighting bylaw.
Police then attended another establishment and were told about another male who was causing issues. The male was also arrested and lodged in cells until sober.
