The Estevan Juvenile Raiders and Raiderettes travelled to Odessa from January 4 to 6 for their first tournaments of the season.
The Raiders lost all of their games, but two team members managed to come away from the tournament with recognitions. Dusty Schlamp was named the top defenceman and a first-team all-star defenceman, and Brayden Tuchscherer was a first team all-star forward.
The Raiderettes dropped their first two games of the tournament, losing 7-0 to Odessa and 4-2 against Big River. Kristina Chamney had both goals versus Big River.
They won their final game, a 1-0 decision over Manitoba. Jenna George had the only goal.
Chamney was named a second team all-star.
Both teams' next action will be in Bruno. The Midget Raiders and Raiderettes will have exhibition games in Odessa on January 13.
