The Estevan Sherritt Coal Peewee AA Bruins reached the A final at a tournament in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, from January 3 to 5.
Estevan won their first four games of the tournament, beating their opponents by a combined score of 38-12. They opened with a 10-3 win over Shoal Lake. Cole Fonstad scored five times, and JD Gervais scored twice. Hayden Cutler, Reegan Robinson and Ryder Pierson also scored.
Fonstad and Carson Benning each scored twice in a 6-4 win over the St. Boniface Seals. Cutler and Mason Strutt had the other goals.
Fonstad had his second five-goal game of the tournament in Estevan's 16-0 win over the Thompson King Miners. Cutler had four goals, and Pierson and Colton Schell scored two goals each. Strutt, Terran Holzer and Jake Palmer were the other goal scorers.
The Peewee Bruins' final two games were against the Portage Terriers. In the first encounter, Estevan won 6-5. Fonstad and Strutt had two goals each, while Benning and Kade McMillen also scored.
In the final, Portage beat Estevan 2-1. Pierson scored Estevan's lone goal.

The Peewee AA Bruins also began play in provincials with a 6-5 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors in Game 1 of a two-game, total-goal series. Schell had a hat trick, and Cutler scored twice and added an assist. Fonstad had the other goal. JD Gervais added three assists.
Cody Levesque was in goal for the win.
Estevan led 5-2 after two periods, and 6-3 late in the third, but Moose Jaw scored twice in the final three minutes to pull within a goal.
Game 2 will be January 10 in Moose Jaw.

The Estevan TS&M Bantam AA Bruins tied the Regina Silver Foxes 2-2 on January 4. Peyton Stevenson and Mitchell Morrison each had a goal and an assist for Estevan.
Carter Phair was in goal for the tie.
Estevan's record is 7-8-2. They'll host Swift Current on January 13 at Spectra Place. The game starts at noon.

The Estevan Apex Midget AA Bruins defeated the Lumsden-Bethune Lions 4-2 on January 6 and tied the Weyburn Wings 3-3 on January 8.
Tanner Jeannot, Kyle Salaway, Steven Henderson and Jolan Lingelbach scored against Lumsden-Bethune. Jason Hengen had three assists, and Salaway added two helpers.
Levi Eiteneier was in goal.
Jolan Lingelbach, Marc Shaw and Tanner Jeannot scored for Estevan against Weyburn.
Tanner Tytlandsvik was in goal.
The Midget AAs' record is 10-7-5 in league play.
Estevan will host the Notre Dame Hounds on January 11 at Spectra Place. The game will start at 8 p.m. Then the Midget AAs will play Weyburn in their two-game, total-goal provincial series. Game 1 will be January 12 in Weyburn, and Game 2 is January 16 in Estevan at 7:45 p.m.
