Police report

Estevan Police Service members had a busy weekend, with well over a dozen calls for a variety of incidents.

Police investigated a report of a large group of youth misusing the facilities at a playpark in the Pleasantdale area on Friday night. The youth were spoken to. There was no damage done to the property.

Police attended to a domestic dispute in the north-central area of Estevan. The matter was resolved without any issues.

Officers were dispatched to a bar on the east end of Estevan in response to a group of people causing a disturbance. Members attended and eventually transported two males to their residence.

A report of a male being assaulted at a bar in the north-central area of Estevan was received. Further investigation revealed the victim was attacked by an unknown male who proceeded to bite off a portion of the victim’s ear. The matter is still under investigation. Anyone with knowledge of this offence is asked to contact the Estevan Police Service.

Police attended to a convenience store in the north-central area of Estevan in response to a report of a female passing out inside the business. Upon arrival offices located a female who was awake and with friends. Everyone involved was sent on their way.

Officers attended to a residence in the northeast area of Estevan, in response to a report of noisy party. The owners of the residence were warned of the bylaw. The music was turned off and there were no further problems.

A 28-year-old Bienfait male was located outside a bar in the north-central area of Estevan. He was subsequently arrested and lodged in cells after being involved in a physical altercation and for being intoxicated in a public place. The male was released once sober.

A report was received of a vehicle with multiple people inside being operated by an impaired driver. The vehicle was located and the driver was found to be sober. The passengers were warned of their behaviour.

A report was received on Saturday night of a missing 16-year-old Estevan male. Upon further investigation the male was safely located within an hour of the initial report.

A report of a hit and run taking place at the Estevan Comprehensive School was received. A black Chevrolet half-ton truck with tinted windows was observed making contact with a parked vehicle. The offending vehicle then drove away without stopping. The matter is still under investigation.

A noise complaint was received about a room at a hotel in the southwest area of Estevan. The occupants of the room were warned of the bylaw.

Members were dispatched to a report of a large fight at a bar in the east end of Estevan. Upon arrival several males were located, however no problems were observed. The males were sent on their way.

A 20-year-old Estevan male was located outside a bar in the north-central area of Estevan. The male was arrested for being in breach of previous conditions of release. The male was lodged in cells and released in front of a Justice of the Peace the following day.

A 38-year-old male from Ontario was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. The male was lodged in cells and was released once sober.

A 32-year-old Estevan male was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. The male was lodged in cells and was released once sober.

Members were dispatched to a convenience store in the north-central Estevan in response to a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, two males were located and warned of their actions. The males were sent on their way.

A 36-year-old Bienfait male was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. The male was lodged in cells and was released once sober.

A 31-year-old Estevan male was arrested for public intoxication. The male was lodged in cells and was released once sober.
