Bantam A Bruins win three more


The Bantam A Bruins hosted the Prairie Storm on October 28.

The Estevan Century 21 Bantam A Bruins won their two most recent games, defeating the Regina Panthers 3-2 on October 27, the Prairie Storm 3-1 on October 28 and the Regina Sabres 6-1.

Colein Poole, Kyle Hertes and Wyatt Haux scored for Estevan against the Panthers. Zack Miller was in goal for the victory.

Preston Brodziak, Keaten Tarnes and Shae Little had the goals against the Storm. Ethan Veroba was the winning goaltender.

Estevan also played the Regina Sabres on October 31. Prestin Bergen scored twice and added two assists, while Hertes had a goal and two assists. Brodziak, Hunter Piche and Dawson Nobiss had the other goals. Miller picked up another win in goal.

Estevan's record is 5-0, which leaves them as one of two unbeaten teams in their league. Upcoming games are November 2 in Regina against the Stars; November 3 at the Civic Auditorium against the other undefeated team, Moose Jaw, at noon; and November 4 at Spectra Place versus the Stars at 1:45 p.m.

The Estevan Blue Rock Junior Midget Bruins won one of three road games that they played in a three-day span against Regina-based teams.

Estevan beat the Flames 6-2 on October 26, lost 6-1 to the Wild on October 27 and lost 7-4 to the Flames on October 28.

Ryan Smith had a hat trick in the win over the Flames. Ryan Stovin and Cole Piche each had a goal and an assist. Bailey Lonsberry was the other goal scorer.

Lonsberry opened the scoring in the game against the Wild, but the Wild would pick up the final six goals of the game.

Colton Winton, Dayton Westerman, Brandon Hutt and Colton Gingras had the goals for Estevan in the second game against the Flames.

Bryce Friess was in goal for both games against the Flames. Landon Audet was the goalie against the Wild.

The Junior Midgets' record is 2-2. They host the Regina Capitals on November 3 at 2:45 p.m. at the Civic Auditorium, and the Regina Flames at 5:30 p.m. on November 4 at Spectra Place.
