Midget AAs get a point on the road


The Estevan Gem Well Atom AA Bruins played their home opener against Moosomin on October 27.

The Estevan Apex Midget AA Bruins had a loss and a tie in a recent road trip.

Estevan tied the Swift Current Hurricanes 3-3 on October 26. Swift Current had leads of 2-0 and 3-1, but Estevan managed to rally, tie the game, and get a point. Tyson Price, Dylan Lay and Marc Shaw scored for the Bruins.

They lost 5-3 to the Moose Jaw Warriors on October 27, ending the Midget AA Bruins' unbeaten streak at six games. Shaw, Lay and Kaelan Holt were the goal-scorers.

Levi Eiteneier was in goal for both games.

The Midget AA Bruins' record is 2-2-3. Their next two games are at home: November 2 against the Notre Dame Argos, and November 3 versus the Regina Wild.

The Estevan TS&M Bantam AA Bruins surrendered five first period goals in an 8-5 home ice loss against the Battlefords Barons on October 27.

Kolten Ganson had a hat trick for Estevan, and Mitchell Morrison contributed a goal and two assists. JJ Holma had the other goal.

Carter Phair was in goal for Estevan.

The TS&M Bruins' record is 1-6. They'll host the Moose Jaw Warriors on November 3, and then they visit the Regina Monarchs on November 4.

The Estevan Gem Well Atom AA Bruins lost their first two home games of the regular season, 3-2 on October 27 and 6-3 October 28. Both games were against the Moosomin Ice Badgers.

Cole Adams and Ethan Bill each had a goal and an assist in the first game against Moosomin. Tayce Miller assisted on both Estevan goals.

Estevan jumped out to a 2-0 in the second game versus Moosomin on goals by Alex Vonsprecken and Josh Romanyk, but the Badgers scored the next six goals. Austin Fleck scored for Estevan midway through the third.

Layne Gilroy was in goal for both games.

The Atom AA Bruins have an 0-3 record. They will visit Yorkton on November 3 and 4.
