Estevan Police Service members had a relatively quiet night on Halloween, as they had just one complaint of an egging incident, one complaint for fireworks being set off, and a few other calls.
Police were called to a local establishment on a report of a patron who wouldn't leave when asked to do so. Police attended and were met by some of the staff members, who were holding down an intoxicated male. He was lodged in cells until sober.
Police and EMS were called to a two-vehicle accident on Perkins Street and Fourth Avenue. One driver was treated on the scene with minor injuries and released. One vehicle had to be towed from the scene. The matter remains under investigation, and charges are pending.
Police were called to a residence in the city centre on a report of a male at the residence. Police attended and located an intoxicated male in the area. He was checked and found to be on conditions. He was lodged in cells until sober, and charged with breaching his conditions and trespassing.
Police located several males by a downtown business. When police went to speak with the males, they took off running. Two Estevan males were arrested and charged with fleeing from police and public intoxication.
Police checked a vehicle in the city's north end. When officers asked the driver for a valid license, he provided a false name. Police learned that the male was not who he claimed to be, and he was operating the vehicle without a valid license. He was charged with obstruction and driving while suspended. He will appear in Estevan court later in December to answer to the charges.
