Halliburton Back the Bruins Week

CanElson Drilling Estevan Bruin players visited the Pure Energy Early Learning Centre and Estevan Day Care Cooperative as part of Halliburton Back the Bruins Week.

Energy services company Halliburton, which has an office in Estevan, showed its support for the CanElson Drilling Estevan Bruins through Halliburton Back the Bruins Week from October 22 to 26.

Bruin players visited locations throughout the community, and volunteered with different causes in an effort to give back to the community.

Players worked at the Days Inn October 22. They bagged groceries at Sobeys, and visited children at the Pure Energy Early Learning Centre and Estevan Day Care Cooperative on October 23.

October 24 saw them serve food at the Hillcrest School Breakfast Club, and serve coffee at Tim Hortons and McDonald's. They spent October 25 carving pumpkins with residents at Hillview Manor and Creighton Lodge.

Coffee with the Bruins will happen October 26 at the Sixth Street McDonald's, starting at 9 a.m. Head coach/GM Keith Cassidy will answer questions from fans. And players will be involved in an initiation hockey jamboree on October 27 at Spectra Place.

Halliburton is the official community outreach sponsor of the Bruins.
