The Estevan Comprehensive School (ECS) showcased many of the services and programs that it offers during its annual open house October 24.
Parents and people from the community were able to learn about the school during a general session and drop-in interactive sessions. The general session featured greetings from school administration, an introduction of school community council members and new staff members, and a message from the school resource officer.
The jazz band performed prior to the general session. The ECS Wired group, the drama 20/30 team and the cheer team also had demonstrations.
Information was provided on the upcoming ECS Challenge Day and the 2013 and 2014 European trips.
Drop-in interactive sessions were for the baking club, the book club, the iron chefs, the radio show, career education, social justice, tutorial programs, student services, the Home Logic program, Christian ethics and improv comedy.
The first grad parent meeting for the 2013 graduation ceremonies was also part of the open house.
