Estevan Police Service members had to respond to many calls during the last few days, thanks to public intoxication reports, thefts, assaults, noisy parties and other incidents.
*Estevan Police Service members received a report of a break-and-enter at a residence in the northwest corner of the city on Sunday night. The matter is under investigation.
*A dispute between two males and a female resulted in driving complaints as well as reports of harassment. All parties involved were spoken to about their behaviour, and warned about their actions.
*A theft for under $5,000 was reported from a business in the east-central area of Estevan. A male suspect entered the business and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. The matter is under investigation
*A report of a domestic dispute was received from a residence in the south-central area of Estevan. After further investigation, a 27-year-old Estevan male was arrested for assault and lodged in cells. The matter is still under investigation.
*A report of a break-and-enter was received from a residence in the northeast area of Estevan on Saturday night. Further investigation revealed that a break-and-enter hadn't occurred.
*A report of an intoxicated male was received from the east-central area of Estevan. The male had been asked to leave a lounge in the area. After leaving, he then began to cause a disturbance outside the business. The male was located a short distance away. A 23-year-old male from Lampman was arrested and lodged in cells, and released when sober.
*Police officers responded to a residence in the northeast area of Estevan on several occasions to deal with an ongoing domestic dispute. In the end, one of the parties involved in the dispute agreed to go elsewhere for a period of time, until the other party was able to leave the residence.
*A report was received of a large group of youth damaging property in the northeast area of Estevan. Police officers attended and located seven youth in the area. Further investigation did not reveal any damage. The youth were spoken to about their actions, and several parents were later advised about their child's behaviour.
*A 38-year-old male from Whitecourt, Alberta, turned himself into police after stating he had warrants out for his arrest. Further investigation revealed that he had 12 outstanding warrants from Alberta. The male was lodged in cells, and released when sober.
*A call was received about a noisy party at a residence in the south-central area of Estevan. Members attended and found that the majority of the people causing the noise had left the area. The owner of the residence was warned about the noise bylaw.
*A 17-year-old female was located walking alone in the south-central area of Estevan. The female had fallen down several times prior to being located. She was taken into custody until sober friends were able to take her home safely.
*A report of an intoxicated male was received from a lounge on the east side of Estevan. The 32-year-old Estevan male was located and lodged in cells until he was sober.
*A report was received of another 17-year-old Estevan female entering a residence in the south-central area of Estevan. The female, who was very intoxicated, was transported home and turned over to the care of her parents.
*A report of a fight taking place between three people was received from a convenience store in the north-central area of Estevan. Upon police arrival, all parties had left the area.
*A report of another noisy party was received from a room at a hotel in the west-central area of Estevan. The renters of the room were warned about the bylaw.
*Several calls were received about a disturbance in the northeast area of Estevan. Police officers responded and located individuals who were reportedly being assaulted by other individuals. There had been a very loud argument, as well as physical altercations. The matter is under investigation.
*A report of a hit-and-run was received Friday night after an eastbound SUV collided with a parked work truck in the south-central area of Estevan. Members attended to the scene and obtained statements from witnesses. The matter is still under investigation
*A report was received of a male looking through a window at a house in the southeast area of Estevan. Members responded, but no suspects were located.
*Members were dispatched to a fight between two males at a lounge in the north-central area of the city. Upon arrival, one male was removed from the lounge at the request of the staff. The male was transported to his residence and released.
*A 24-year-old male from Regina was arrested after he obtained the services of a taxicab, and then could not locate his residence. He was lodged in cells for public intoxication, and then released when sober.
*Several individuals were arrested after a fight at a bar in the north-central area of Estevan. Two males and one female, all from Estevan, were transported to the police station for further investigation. The female was released after several warrants were cleared up. The two males were released as well.
*A 23-year-old Estevan male was arrested after being involved in a disturbance at a convenience store in the north-central area of the city. He was lodged in cells and released once he was sober.
*A theft of $60 in gas was reported to police on Thursday. A subject went to a northeast Estevan gas station, at which time gas was obtained. The subject then failed to pay before leaving. The matter remains under investigation.
*Police responded to a west-central motel on a report that an intoxicated person was being evicted. The matter resulted in a 39-year-old male being arrested for intoxication under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act, and was transported to the police station, where he was lodged until he was sober.
*A hit-and-run was reported to police at an east-central establishment on Wednesday. The vehicle rear-ended the victim vehicle, and then fled the scene. The matter remains under investigation.
