Wire cabling stolen near Lampman

The Estevan RCMP and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public's assistance with a recent crime.

Between October 1 and 5, a total of 128 feet of 750-gauge wire cabling was stolen from a construction site south of Lampman. The wire cabling had an eight-inch round coating in orange plastic, with three two-inch thick copper conducting wires. The total value of the cabling is approximately $12,000.

The RCMP advises construction site owners to do their best to secure materials when unattended. They are also advising businesses in the area who deal with scrap metal to be on the lookout for anyone selling or disposing of similar material, and to contact the RCMP at 637-4400, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, if there are or have been any recent suspicious metal transactions.
