The Estevan Apex Midget AA Bruins opened the regular season on the road with a 5-3 loss against Melville on October 6, and a 4-4 tie against Yorkton on October 7.
Estevan had a 3-1 lead entering the third period against Melville, but Melville scored three quick goals early in the third, and added the insurance marker with a few minutes to play.
Tyson Price, Kaelan Holt and Steven Henderson scored for Estevan.
Tanner Tytlandsvik was in goal.
Henderson, Price, Preston Hutt and Mason Benning had the goals against Yorkton. Yorkton tied the game with a goal in the final two minutes of the third period.
Levi Eiteneier was in net for the tie.
The Midget AA Bruins will have their home opener October 13 against Melville at 7:45 p.m. The Prairie Storm will visit October 14 at 6 p.m.

The Estevan TS&M Bantam AA Bruins picked up their first win of the season with a 4-3 road victory over Weyburn on October 6.
JJ Holma's goal with nine minutes to play in the third period broke a 3-3 tie, and lifted Estevan to victory. Colton Winton scored twice for the Bruins. Kolten Ganson also scored.
Carter Phair was the winning goaltender.
Their next league action will be a three games in three days stretch, as they'll host Melville on October 19, visit Yorkton on October 20 and host the West Central Wheat Kings on October 21.

The Estevan Sherritt Coal Peewee AA Bruins split a season-opening double-header with the Moose Jaw Warriors at Spectra Place.
Moose Jaw won the first game 4-1 on October 6. Mason Strutt had the only goal for Estevan. Cody Levesque was in goal.
Cole Fonstad had a hat trick, and Ryder Pierson scored twice as Estevan defeated Moose Jaw 6-4 on October 7. Strutt had the other goal.
Morgan Wanner was in goal for the victory.
Their next league game is October 17 in Weyburn.

The Estevan Gem Well Atom AA Bruins defeated Moose Jaw 8-3 in a pre-season game October 6. Ben Wagstaff and Parker Bell each scored twice, while Josh Romanyk had a goal and two assists. Tayce Miller, Cale Adams and Ethan Bill had Estevan's other goals.
