The South Corner Racing Circuit wrapped up its 2012 season with an event September 29 at the Trackside Motocross Association's venue southeast of Estevan, and an awards ceremony afterwards.
Twelve different classes were contested on the 29th. Matthew Silzer was the winner in the 125 class. Kade Anderson was second and Taylor Belle was third.
In the open A division, Cody Rouse won the feature race. Ryan Peters finished second and Randy Franke came in third. Josh Mantai won the open B, followed by Bryson Mayer and Lane Johnston. Ivan Velychko took the open C division; Ken Saban and Yansey Hagel were second and third, respectively.
Gerald Fehr won the veteran class, followed by Randy Franke and Cheyenne Sernick. Kate Lees won the women's division for the seventh straight program; Judy Istace was second and Samantha Merrett was third. Tyson Wall won the youth class. Cody Rouse finished second and Bryce Friess was third.
Alex Kerr won his third straight feature in the beginner class. He was followed by Dylan Mitchell and Jericho Rachul. In the super mini class, Kayden Hjorteland won the feature. Travis King was second and William Merrett was third.
Merrett did finish first in the 85 cc class. Travis King was once again second, while Hjorteland finished third. Braden Hanson-Gnyp took top spot in the 65 cc, followed by Cam Severson and Matthew Hutt. Noah Jacobson won his seventh straight feature in the 50 cc; Kaedin Slykhuis and Wyatt Hanson-Gnyp were second and third, respectively.
The series champions in each class were: Greg Miller in the 125 class with 149 points; Cole Jacobson, open A, 131 points; Bryson Mayer, open B, 180 points; Kate Lees, open C, 122 points, and women's, 200 points; Randy Franke, veteran, 163 points; Cole Jacobson, youth, 131 points; Alex Kerr, beginner, 145 points; Travis King, super mini, 170 points; William Merrett, 85 cc, 194 points; Jordan Hillrich, 65 cc, 175 points; and Noah Jacobson, 50 cc, 200 points.
