The Estevan Police Service responded to a potentially troubling call on Sunday, arrested a person with a number of outstanding warrants on Friday, and responded to other calls in the past week.
A male was reported to have exposed himself to two females under the age of 16 in the area of Churchill Playpark in the 1200 block of First Street on September 23. The male is described as Caucasian, with short brown hair. He is about 18 years of age and was wearing grey and black clothing. The incident remains under investigation.
Police officers responded to a report of a loud disturbance at a multi-person dwelling in the north end of Estevan on September 22. Further investigation revealed that two roommates had a physical disagreement, which resulted in one of the males leaving the premises. No injuries were sustained.
A report of an assault was received from a bar in northern Estevan. Two females were located at the scene and the matter is under investigation.
A report of an intoxicated male was received from a licensed lounge in the north end of Estevan, which led to the arrest of a 32-year-old Estevan male. He was lodged in cells and released when sober.
Estevan Police Service members were called to attend a licensed premise on the north end of Estevan on September 21 because of suspicious behaviour by several patrons. One of the males involved fled the scene upon police arrival. After a lengthy foot chase, the male was taken into custody. Further investigation revealed the 27-year-old male from Saskatoon was out on a number of conditions, including abstaining from the consumption of alcohol. He was also wanted by two other police agencies for a total of nine outstanding charges. The male was charged with two Criminal Code offences, two Alcohol and Gaming Act offences, and was remanded into custody for court September 24.
A report of an intoxicated woman at a licensed lounge on the north end of Estevan led to the arrest of a 25-year-old Estevan female. She was lodged in cells and released when sober.
A 25-year-old Estevan male was arrested on an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop. He was released with a future court date.
Officers attended to a hotel in the north end of the city in response to a report by a male that he was being harassed and threatened by a large group of males. Patrols of the area were unsuccessful in locating the suspects. The male was unharmed in the incident.
Police were twice called to a residence September 20 to deal with a young offender who was acting unruly. The youth would not cooperate, so Social Services became involved. The youth was place in their care.
Police were called to an assault in which alcohol was a factor. Several people were drinking and an argument ensured. One person was pushed and fell down, hurting their wrist. The matter is under investigation.
Police charged a young offender with public mischief September 19, following a broken window for which another youth was accused. The young offender was referred to alternative measures.
