Prolific Saskatchewan-based author Edward Willett was at the Estevan Public Library on September 15 to read excerpts from his latest book, "Masks."
"Masks," which was released earlier this year, was written by Willett under the pseudonym of E.C. Blake. The young adult fantasy novel marks the first book in a trilogy.
The second novel, "Shadows," is currently being written. The third book will be called "Faces."
According to Willett, "Masks" is set in a tyrannical land where all inhabitants must wear masks. But one girl, Mara, learns how to harness her own magical skills to overcome oppression and outside invaders.
Willett has also written a number of science fiction and fantasy novels. And he has written a wealth of non-fiction books that have ranged from health books, to biographies of famous people, to historical accounts, to books that celebrate Saskatchewan people, communities and history.
