The Estevan Chamber of Commerce will once again host an all-candidates forum for those who are running for Estevan City Council in the upcoming civic election.
The forum will happen on Tuesday, October 9 at the Estevan Royal Canadian Legion. It's expected that the councillor debate will happen at 8 p.m., and the mayoral debate will follow at 9 p.m.
Chamber community development manager Michel Cyrenne said the councillor and mayoral debates will allow each candidate to give an opening statement, answer prepared questions from the Chamber, answer questions from the audience, and give a closing statement.
The number of candidates for mayor and councillor will determine how much time is allocated for each portion of the evening.
There will also be a brief intermission between the councillor and the mayor debates.
Cyrenne said he expects there will be a good turnout, since there is an election for mayor this year.
The Chamber has been seeking input from its member to determine which questions will be asked to its members in the forum.
