Three members of the No Boundaries Wakeboarding Club competed at the Canadian Wakeboard Championship, and continued the club's tradition of success at the national level.
Taylor Johnson won the gold medal in the junior women's event – the third straight year in which she has won a gold medal at nationals. She also competed in the open women's, and finished third.
Sage Dayman took top spot in the boys division, and fourth spot in wakeskate – an event in which his feet are planted on a board different from a wakeboard.
Marvin Blue was fourth in the masters men's event.
Nationals were held from August 23 to 25 at St. Zotique, Quebec, which is just outside of Montreal. Entrants in all age groups competed each day.
The qualifying round, which determined seeding, was held on August 23. The semi-finals were held the following day, and the final round was the 25th. The competitor's score from August 25 was used to determine the national champion.
Nationals marked one of the final events of the year for No Boundaries. They'll host a couple more club nights, and then have their final get-together of the year on Saturday, September 8 at the Boundary Dam Reservoir.
