The Estevan Showcase Association (ESA) has announced that this year's edition of the business expo, which is slated for September 28 to 30, is officially sold out, and that they are now accepting candidates for the waitlist.
According to a press release for Showcase, this is the earliest that Showcase has been sold out. More than 100 exhibitors will be part of the event inside of Spectra Place and the Icon Centre (formerly the Lignite Miners Centre). There will also be some outdoor exhibitors.
Most of the booths are on Spectra Place's arena floor. There will be 18 booths at the Icon Centre, including five large exhibits. There will also be displays at the Leisure Centre's parking lot and forecourt.
Estevan Chamber of Commerce marketing and events coordinator Rebecca Howie said there will be a wide variety of exhibitors that will allow Showcase to appeal to people of all ages. Some perennial favourites will be back this year, and they will be joined by many new exhibitors.
Antique appraiser Vern Reese will be at the Icon Centre on September 29. A person will receive one free antique appraisal with each paid admission. Second and third appraisals will be $10 each. There is a limit of three items.
People can bring their antiques, or, in the case of larger items, a detailed photo of the antique. Stamps and coins will not be appraised.
Showcase will run from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on September 28, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the 29th, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 30th.
Showcase is a project of the Estevan Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club of Estevan and the Lions Club of Estevan.
