The Bear Claw Casino and Hotel on the White Bear First Nation will host its annual summer celebrations, including a pow wow, from August 3 to 5.
Several different competitions will be part of the event.
A drum contest will offer $25,000 in prizes, including $10,000 for the winner. There will also be a singing contest.
Other competitions will include traditional and fancy dance competitions in the senior adult (35 to 54), the junior adult category (18 to 34), the teen (13-17) and junior (6 to 12 categories; grass and chicken dances for senior men, junior adult men, teenage boys and junior boys; and a jingle dance competition for senior adult, junior adult, teen and junior women.
There will also be competitions in the men's and women's golden age divisions for those 55 and over, and a tiny tots (six-and-under) competition.
Cash prizes will be offered in all categories, except for the tiny tots.
The grand entry will be at 7 p.m. on August 3, and at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on August 4 and 5.
