Estevan Police Service members had to deal with a wide variety of incidents and calls during the last weekend in July.
Police were called to a location in central Estevan on Sunday night on a report of an intoxicated male. The 21-year-old was arrested for public intoxication, and transported to the police station where he was lodged in cells until sober.
Members attended to a north central Estevan gas station/convenience store because a disturbance was in progress. The matter was defused and resolved by police, at which time the subjects were sent on their way.
Officers were called to a central Estevan establishment on Saturday night on a report of a disturbance between a male and a female. The matter was defused and concluded without incident.
A 47-year-old male was arrested near a central Estevan residence as a result of a domestic disturbance. He was transported to EPS, where he was lodged in cells until sober.
Police discovered a disturbance in progress in north central Estevan, at which time the subjects involved were spoken to and sent on their way.
Police were called to a location in east Estevan on the report of a possible impaired driver. The vehicle was gone upon police arrival.
Police responded to a report of a possible impaired driver approaching Estevan on Highway 47 north of the city. The vehicle was found on an approach, at which time it was discovered the driver had become tired and decided to stop and rest.
Officers attended to an address in west central Estevan on Friday night for a report of a domestic dispute. After a short time, the matter was resolved without further incident.
Police were called to a northeast Estevan establishment on a report of an unconscious patron. The subject was arrested and charged for public intoxication under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act, and transported to the police station where he was lodged in cells until sober.
A 52-year-old male was arrested in north-central Estevan for impaired driving. He was transported to the police station, where he was lodged in cells until sober. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance August 27.
Police were dispatched to a noise complaint at a residence in northeast Estevan. The homeowners were warned of the noise bylaw, at which time the matter was resolved.
Members attended to a residence in south Estevan on a report of damage being done to a residence. A BB gun was discharged at the windows and the siding, causing damage. The matter remains under investigation.
Police attended a residence in north central Estevan on a report of damage happening at the property. Upon arrival, police observed a party in progress, at which time the homeowner was spoken to. The party ended at that time. Police didn't spot any damage.
An underage female who was detained by staff of a north central establishment was reported to police. The female was apprehended and charged with possessing a fake ID under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act.
A 51-year-old male was arrested in central Estevan for public intoxication. He was transported to EPS, where he was lodged in cells until sober.
A traffic stop was initiated in east Estevan, which resulted in a 20-year-old male being issued a 24-hour suspension for driving with a blood alcohol level of more than .04. He was also served with a ticket under the Traffic Safety Act.
A 22-year-old male was arrested and charged for refusing to provide a breath sample, after police discovered the individual sleeping in the driver's seat of a vehicle that was parked at a north-central Estevan gas station/convenience store. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance on September 10.
A number of other charges were laid under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act on Friday night, including possession of alcohol in a location other than a private place, having alcohol in a vehicle and minors possessing alcohol.
A number of chargers under the Traffic Safety Act were laid on Friday and Saturday for speeding, seat belt use, driving through an amber light, stunting, driving an unregistered vehicle and improper driver's license.
