Oil women hold tournament

The Estevan Oilfield Technical Society's (OTS) Oil Women's golf tournament attracted nearly 80 golfers and 20 teams to two golf courses on July 20.

The team of Trudy Firth, Tami Kofoed, Maggie Stephen and Darlene Sens finished in top spot. Shelley Naka, Shannon Knibbs, Mary Jane Pineo and Shelly Big Eagle came in second. Jennifer Moore, Brandi Day, Arliss Schindel and Shelli Schlingmann were the third place team.

A Texas scramble format was used for the tournament. Women who work in the oilfield were eligible to participate.

The tournament was played at the Estevan Woodlawn Golf Course and the Hidden Valley Golf and RV Resort. Teams played nine holes on each course.
