Williams honored

Weyburn teacher, Jacquie Williams, was honored with a service award at the Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association's 64th annual meeting in Swift Current from June 20 - 22.

The Association wrapped up the activities for the 2011 - 2012 school year at the meeting and recognized individuals for their dedication to the student athletes of our province. The SHSAA also honoured retiring executive members and elected new members to the executive council.

During the past year almost 40,000 students participated in interschool activities at the senior high school level. The SHSAA sponsored 51 provincial championships in 10 activities for the student athletes in the 375 high schools in the province.
