The Spectra Community Foundation has contributed $2,000 towards the purchase and installation of a new score clock at Westview School's gymnasium.
Foundation secretary-treasurer Tami Scott made the cheque presentation on June 13 at the school. The total cost of the project is $7,000. Existing funds at the school will be used for the remaining expenses associated with the score clock.
Principal Cheri Haberstock said the school desperately needed a new scoreboard. The previous one was acquired from the old Estevan Junior High, which closed in 2003. Many of the bulbs on Westview's old score clock were burned out.
The new scoreboard has Westview Wildcats written on it, and it features the Wildcats' paw logo.
