The Estevan Big Dogs juvenile lacrosse team earned their second come-from-behind victory of the season May 27 with a 15-13 road win over Moose Jaw.
Estevan trailed 9-6 at one point in the second period, and 13-9 with eight minutes to play in the game. But the Big Dogs rattled off the final six goals of the game for the victory.
Rhett Handley and Kelsey Omland each scored three times in the final eight minutes. Handley finished with five goals and an assist; Omland wound up with four tallies and one helper.
Dylan Smith had a big game as well. He assisted on the Big Dogs' final three goals, and finished the game with four goals and four assists.
Tanner Froese and Ryan Frehlick scored the other goals for Estevan. Marshall Holzer had five assists.
Daniel Wenham was the winning goaltender.
The Big Dogs improved their record in Prairie Gold Lacrosse League action to 2-1.
Estevan's next two games are at home. They'll host Prince Albert at 6 p.m. on June 2, and the Regina Riot at 5:30 p.m. on June 3. Both games will be played at the Lignite Miners Centre.
