Faber Drive has been announced as an opening act for Simple Plan, who will bring their "Summer Paradise Tour" to Spectra Place in Estevan on Sunday, August 12.
A B.C.-based band that was founded in 2004, Faber Drive has released two albums: "Seven Second Surgery" in 2007 and "Can't Keep a Secret" in 2010.
These albums have spawned six top-20 singles. Two of them went platinum and two more attained gold status. Their new single, "Do it in Hollywood," was released in March and is from their forthcoming, yet-unnamed album.
This is not the first time that Faber Drive has joined forces on a toured with Simple Plan, as Faber Drive opened for Simple Plan in 2008.
Simple Plan is currently in the midst of a sold-out tour of Europe. Their fourth album, "Get Your Heart On!" has already reached gold status in Canada, and it features the hit single "Jet Lag."
The band has also created the Simple Plan Foundation, which has donated more than $1 million to charities, including more than $750,000 to organizations that assist youth. A dollar from the sale of each ticket during their tour will be donated to the foundation.
