Estevan Police Service members responded to a number of incidents during the weekend.
Police responded to a report on Friday night of some individuals who would not leave a licensed outlet. When police arrived, the individuals had left the business and were outside. Police checked them and found that two of them had outstanding warrants. They were subsequently arrested. One was released with a court date in March. The other was held in cells until Monday.
Officers received a report of some people doing drugs in a vehicle. Police responded and checked the vehicle. No charges were laid, but an intoxicated male was arrested for interfering with a police investigation, and for public intoxication. He was held overnight in cells.
Police checked a vehicle on the city's east side for impaired driving. The driver refused to cooperate with police, and was arrested for failing to provide a breath sample. The 34-year-old Calgary male was lodged in cells overnight and will appear in Estevan court later in the month to respond to the charges.
An intoxicated male was noted to be wandering on the street in the early morning hours. Police checked the male and noted that he was also on conditions. He was arrested and lodged in cells until sober. He will answer to the charges in March.
