The Estevan Sherritt Coal Peewee AA Bruins lost just once in six games, and captured the B event, at the annual Regina Pats Peewee AA Classic tournament January 27 to 29.

Thirty-two teams from across western Canada were entered.

Preston Brodziak scored twice and added an assist, as Estevan opened the tournament with a 3-3 tie against the Regina Sabres. Sage Dayman had the other goal.

Hunter Piche scored twice and added an assist, and Brodziak had a goal and three assists in a 4-2 win over the Taber Golden Suns. Cole Fonstad had the other goal.

Estevan suffered their only loss of the tournament in their next game – a 7-1 defeat against the Winnipeg North-West Stars. Colton Schell had the only goal.

With the loss, Estevan finished 1-1-1 in the round-robin, placed second in their pool, and moved on to the B event.

In the quarter-finals, Estevan beat Medicine Hat 5-2. Brodizak had a goal and two assists. Skjonsby, Brady Long, Dylan Emmel and Brayden Pachal were the other goal scorers. .

Estevan edged the Saskatoon Express 2-1 in the "B" semi-final. Fonstad and Brodziak were the goal scorers.

The Bruins wrapped up the "B" side with a 5-0 win over the Winnipeg Twins. Brodziak had two goals and two assists. Skjonsby, Piche and Shae Little also scored.

Zach Miller and Ethan Veroba shared the goaltending duties during the tournament. Both received game MVP awards.

The Estevan TS&M Bantam AA Bruins played a pair of exhibition games. They lost 7-3 to the WestMan South West Bantam AAA Cougars on January 29, and beat the Notre Dame Hounds 5-3.

Marc Shaw, Colton Winton and Talys Halabuza had the goals against the Cougars. Carter Phair was in goal.

Halabuza scored twice against Notre Dame. Tanner Jeannot, Brady Third and Kaelan Holt had the other goals.

Cameron Lavoie was in goal for the victory.

The Estevan Apex Midget AA Bruins lost 6-5 to the Moose Jaw Warriors on January 27 and 9-5 to the Swift Current on January 28, but they responded with a 5-3 win over the Prairie Storm on January 30.

Kaelum Bieber, Zach Paxman, Dylan Herzberg, Steven Henderson and Ryan Frehlick scored against Moose Jaw.

Herzberg had two goals and two assists against Swift Current. Paxman, Frehlick and Travis Holma were the other goal scorers. Bieber chipped in with three assists.

Herzberg scored three goals and added an assist against the Prairie Storm. Paxman and Holma had the other goals.

Cody Moore was in net against Moose Jaw. Moore and Levi Eiteneier shared the goaltending duties against Swift Current. Eiteneier was the winning goalie against the Storm.
