Saskatchewan Writers Guild holds annual meeting in Estevan

Several members of the Saskatchewan Writers Guild (SWG) and the Estevan Writers Group (EWG) read excerpts of their works on September 18 in Estevan.

SWG vice-president Cathy Fenwick, Francophone author Martine Noel-Maw, Métis author Lisa Wilson and local author Scott Miller were the members of the SWG who read portions of their printed materials.

EWG members Laura Stock, Danita Stallard, Maureen Ulrich and Marie Donais Calder were also selected to share some of their materials.

The public reading was part of the SWG’s annual general meeting September 18 and 19. The SWG’s organizational meeting took place on the 19th.

Each year, the organization holds their annual meeting in a different community, and this was the first time that it has been held in Estevan.
