August was one of Estevan’s most lucrative months in years for building permit values.
Sixteen permits were issued, and they had a total value of more than $20.3 million.
There were three residential permits issued in August, two commercial permits, three industrial permits, two institutional permits, four garage permits and two miscellaneous permits. The institutional permits carried a total value of $12.95 million, while the commercial permits had a total value of more than $6 million.
So far this year, 106 permits worth a little more than $36 million have been issued. Through the first eight months of 2009, there were 90 permits with a total value of $34.48 million.
