Entries sought for Sunrise’s YouthBiz E-Show

Community Futures (CF) Sunrise is now accepting registrations for their YouthBiz E-Show.

Verna O'Neill from CF Sunrise says that students and teachers have already inquired into school workshops and E-Show resource material.

“The YouthBiz E-Show keeps gaining momentum every year,” said O'Neill. “It’s great to see such tremendous enthusiasm for youth entrepreneurship in the southeast region. The students are really creative and continue to think up new and interesting business ideas.

“Last year, approximately 120 students in southeast Saskatchewan competed for over $2,000 in prize money. We know that the outstanding efforts put forth by students will continue again in 2010. Our hats go off to the teachers in the region for encouraging student involvement.”

The YouthBiz E-Show is an on-line trade show that features business plans from students in Grades 6 to 12. Each trade show booth houses the student’s business plan, business card, poster, interactive booth host and other business materials. Young people experience business ownership and can showcase their ideas on the internet.

The entry deadline is November 26.
