Linda Murphy and Bernadette Wright captured the championship flights at the Estevan Woodlawn Golf Course's Ladies Club Championship on August 28 and 29.
Murphy needed a two-hole playoff to beat Cindy Cull for the amateur women’s championship flight. Both golfers finished with a two-round total of 176. Murphy had rounds of 87 and 89; Cull shot an 84 and a 92. Murphy pared the second playoff hole, while Cull had a bogey, to give Murphy the championship.
Cull did have the lowest score, a 130, after handicaps were factored in.
Susan Sands won the first flight in the amateur division with a 189 (94-95).
Wright won the championship flight in the senior ladies division with a 165 (84-81). Wright won the senior ladies’ division for the second straight year. Fern Walton was second with a 175 (87-88).
Lori Krupka won the senior's first flight with a 202 (101-101).
