(L-R) Estevan Woodlawn Golf Course president Jim Wilson, superintendent Bob Currie and course general manager/head pro Brian Dueck participated in digging the first hole for the Cliff Hawkes Memorial Putting Green on August 26. Located on the site of Woodlawn’s old clubhouse, the putting green is named after Hawkes, who willed $20,000 to the course. The putting green is expected to be a welcome practice facility at Woodlawn. Woodlawn also dedicated their new conference room as the Viking Room on August 26, in recognition of the contributions that Viking Surplus has made to the golf course.
