Police make drug bust; Estevan Police Service and Estevan RCMP seeking public’s help with crimes

*The Estevan Police Service arrested a 19-year-old Estevan female and a 21-year-old male, who had recently moved to Estevan, on drug-related charges on August 23. Both have been charged with one count of trafficking cocaine and one count of possessing of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. Police seized cocaine with an estimated street value of $38,000. The matter is still under investigation and additional charges might be laid. The suspects made their first court appearance on August 26.

*The Estevan Police Service and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance with several crimes:

-The driver’s side window of a white 1992 Ford pickup truck was vandalized during the early morning hours of August 22. The truck was parked in the 900 block of Isabelle Street.

-A Guardian Interlock mouthpiece was stolen from a 2002 blue Dodge pick-up truck in the early morning hours of August 21. The truck was parked in the 800 block of Smith Street. A receiver hitch was also stolen.

-A vehicle was broken into while it was parked on the 400 block of Clasky Drive during the evening hours of August 20. An 18-volt cordless drill and cash were stolen.

-A black Honda Foreman 500cc quad was stolen from the 400 block of Ambassador Village in the evening of August 20.

-A break-and-enter occurred at 413 First Street during the daytime hours of August 3. Entry was gained through the front door, which was forced open.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Estevan Police Service or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

*The Estevan RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance with a crime with a break-and-enter and theft that occurred north of Lampman between August 14 and 17. Two skidoos, one homebuilt trailer, one air compressor, one chainsaw and a set of tools were stolen. The estimated value of the items stolen is $10,000. Anyone with information on this crime, or any other, is asked to call their local RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers.
