Football Day in Estevan is on Saturday

Estevan's different levels of football will be celebrated on Saturday during the annual Football Day in Estevan and the Party in the Park fundraiser.
All three Estevan Minor Football (EMF) teams will be in action. The Sherritt Coal Atom Miners will play at 11 a.m. The Century 21 Peewee Chargers play at 12:30 p.m. And the Lafrentz Trucking Bantam Steelers play at 2 p.m.
There will be opening ceremonies, and some special announcements, at 12:15 p.m.
All of the games will be played at the EMF's main field at Woodlawn Regional Park.
A children's carnival with games and an inflatable playground will start at 12:30 p.m.; and family entertainer The Bubble Man will be at the Souris Valley Theatre's Frehlick Hall at 4 p.m.
A steak supper will be served at 5 p.m. on the football field. The Estevan is Riderville committee will be showing the Saskatchewan Roughriders game against the Edmonton Eskimos on a big-screen television at the Doug Third Gymnasium. That also begins at 5 p.m.
“We're going to have fun for the whole family,” said EMF president Brian Senchuk.
A cabaret will take place from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Proceeds from the events will go to support football in Estevan.
