There seems to be many new adventures on the horizon right now, and it feels like I am caught in a crossroads of decisions. But thankfully all are good opportunities.
I was always the kid who knew what she wanted to do when she was older. When the teachers asked us to write goals lists, or choose a work placement for assignments, I had no problem in doing that. My parents have always encouraged my drive and confidence to go after my dreams. I think that really gave me a safety support to chase after what I felt I was supposed to do, and I always had the comfort of knowing my family was there backing me, and ready to help me back up if I was to fall along the way.
But today I seem to be facing too much opportunity, if that can even be an issue. And I think hitting 25, not being at home with my parents any more, and being a married woman, combined with my overactive brain, has caused me to be too cautious to live out my dreams.
So my great friend, Q, we will call him, asked me one simple question to help me solve this crossroad of opportunity. He listened to the ramblings of the scared little girl inside of me, trying to make a decision. He asked me this: “What makes you come alive?”

What makes you come alive? Well that’s the thousand dollar question, but I think when we exclude all the “what I should do’s?” we will find what the answer is.

The funny thing is, my friends Q and M know what makes me come alive. I knew they probably knew the answer before I even realised it!
Once you answer that question, that's what you do! That's the opportunity you take!
I do know this, I do not ever want to settle for more money just to do a job I hate, I never want to settle to do something someone else wants me to do, and I never want to settle to be someone I'm not!
What makes me come alive will allow the hours at a desk seem worth it as I right out the plans I see in this upcoming time. It will make sifting through graphics online a pleasure because I know I will have a purpose in it all. It will be the thing that was placed inside of me a long time ago. I believe it was the thing I was created to do for such a time as this.
