The Estevan Drag Racing Association (EDRA) wrapped up their 2010 season August 15 with races in five different classes, as well as a couple of bonus competitions.
Tim Melanson of Estevan won the Quick 16. He defeated Brian Ludlam in the final. Ludlam won the Quick 16 during the EDRA’s last program in July.
Ron Frayn of Weyburn won the A event, after he edged out Lorne Walter of Lampman in the final. Nigel Higgs won the bike class. Denzil Lakusta of Estevan was the runner-up.
Alyssa Doerr of Bienfait won the junior dragster class. Matt Osemlak of Moose Jaw was second. Willie Forrest – the junior dragster winner at the first two programs of the year – was third and Damon Doerr of Bienfait was fourth.
The EDRA held a street class for the first time this year. Shaun Johnson of Lampman was the winner. Richard Vogel of McTaggert finished second.
Frayn won a best reaction time competition for the adults, and Forrest won the competition for the junior dragsters.
