Diane Thul shot an 84 to win her second consecutive Estevan Woodlawn Ladies Classic tournament on August 14.
Thul said she played really well on the course's back nine, and she managed to avoid trouble throughout the tournament, except on the fourth hole, when she shot into a sand trap. The wind was stiff, but she noted that everybody had to play through the same conditions.
Tonaya Marr was second with an 89. Kristen Schlamp was third with a 93. Fern Walton and Linda Murphy finished tied for fourth at 95.
Erin Farr won the first flight with a 107.
This year's tournament featured a revamped format. Golfers could enter the traditional individual competition. Results counted towards the Saskatchewan Golf Association's Order of Merit. They could also enter a team for a new four-person Texas Scramble.
Twenty-three golfers entered the individual tournament. Nine teams were in the Texas scramble.
The team of Mel Fonstad, Denise Fonstad, Rose Roundeau and Della Ng won the scramble tournament with a 77. Joan Biette, Joanne Dukart, Corinne Kuntz and Sharon McLellan were second with a 78.
