The Alida Archives and Library will celebrate a milestone for their annual Ride-a-Long this year, as the event will reach its 20th edition.
This year’s Ride-a-Long will be on Saturday, August 21. Jim and Elaine Hyde’s Coyote Springs Ranch – located 11 kilometres west and one-and-a-half kilometres north of Alida on Highway 361 – will be the starting and finishing point for the Ride-a-Long.
Participants are asked to collect pledges to participate in the Ride-a-Long. A minimum amount of $35 per person or $100 for a family of four is needed. A free trail lunch and supper will be served for participants. The public is welcome to come for supper.
The chili challenge competition will once again be part of the Ride-a-Long.
Presentations, draws and entertainment will take place following supper on August 21.
Camping will be available on August 20 and 21. A pancake breakfast will be served on August 22. A short ride and a wrap-up lunch are also scheduled for the 22nd.
