A total of 72 golfers participated in the Rondeau Cup junior scramble May 30 at the Estevan Woodlawn Golf Course.

Taylor Reich, Austin Dobrescu, Kyle Seipp, Carson Truman and Chase Birkett teamed up to win the boys’ event. Tanner Mack, Carter Daoust, Jordan Hoffos, Preston Audet and Jace Carlisle were second. Cole Blischak, Jolan Lingelbach, Jarrett Daoust, Carsen Benning, Chase Gedak and Randy Hamilton were third.

All three teams shot a 3-under-par 33. Count backs were needed to determine the champions.

Haley Lingelbach, Abby Reich and Alicia Fleck won the girls’ event with a 39. Maddie Blischak, Cassidy Reich, Jillian Watson, Leticia Goudy and Rayna Gibson were second with a 45. Shayna Hamilton, Harley Doerr, Drew Fleck, Kyla Hamilton and Kailey McClelland were third with a 54.

The event uses a best-ball format. Golfers played on Woodlawn’s front nine.

The Rondeau Cup is one of the largest junior golf events in Estevan each year.
