An international fashion show on May 14 was one of the highlights of the inaugural Collage Cultural Festival.
Immigrants from several nations donned their cultural attire and paraded down the catwalk in front of a large crowd that gathered at the Estevan Curling Club. Individuals, duets and families all modeled their clothes.
“I've never seen so many volunteers who are so excited to show off their cultures, and the outfits that represent their countries,” said Collage Cultural Festival coordinator Angela Simmons.
Local retailers were involved with the fashion show by creating outfits that were inspired by the cultural clothing. Immigrants and others modeled the retailers’ clothing.
