One of the most prominent broadcasters in Canada has been added to the line-up for Estevan's new arena fundraiser on Friday.

TSN's Gord Miller will be the master of ceremonies for the event. Miller provides play-by-play for TSN's coverage of the World Junior Hockey Championships each year, and he also calls other international competitions as well as NHL games.

New arena fundraiser chair Ron Areshenkoff said Miller is a great personality, and Areshenkoff is certain that Miller will add a lot to the event.

Hockey icon Steve Yzerman has been confirmed for the event. Yzerman will be in Estevan less than two weeks after the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Yzerman was the executive director for Team Canada's men's hockey team, which won gold in Vancouver.

Detroit Red Wings GM Ken Holland, who helped Yzerman assemble the gold-winning entry, will also be in Estevan.

Two members of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, running back Stu Foord and receiver Chris Getzlaf, will also speak.

A live auction will help raise funds for Estevan's new arena. A signed Team Canada Olympic hockey jersey will be available. So will a pair of Red Wings jerseys: a Nicklas Lidstrom jersey signed by the members of this year's Red Wings team, and a jersey autographed by the Red Wings' executive and coaches.

Also available will be a “road trip of a lifetime” that will send four fans to Detroit in early April for a Red Wings game, the NCAA Frozen Four tournament and a Detroit Tigers baseball game. The four people will stay at the casino owned by Red Wings owner Mike Ilitch, and they will also attend other functions.

A $70,000 pump jack and a one-hour flight in a fighter jet will also be sold during the auction.
